Abstract
This paper focuses on uncertainties involved in performance deterioration of slope countermeasures such as ground-anchor system. In detail, the methodology to evaluate life cycle cost, LCC, of road slopes, considering performance deterioration of slope countermeasures such as ground-anchor systems based on reliability analysis, is presented. And, characteristic of performance deterioration of ground-anchor systems is modeled as random variable involved in performance function, which defines stability of road slopes. Finally, results make it clear that LCC evaluation method developed in this study has great potential to make strategic decision on renewal of ground-anchor system based on cost-benefit analysis.
