Abstract
Owing to the effects of recent climate change, it occurs frequently that torrential rains exceed design strength of the drainage system. The subject area of this research is southwest of 23 wards of Tokyo. And this research was conducted to simulate the urban inundation by using the actual rainfall data on July 23, 2013 observed by the X-band MP radar. As a result, it was revealed that generate and expansion process of inundation caused by this heavy rain. In addition, we compared the calculated result with the actual measurement value. Then, inundation depth and river water level in this area were consistent with the reality. In short, the validity and accuracy of the inundation prediction method has demonstrated.
