As Japan's birthrate declines and the population ages, the percentage of people with mobility constraints is expected to increase in the future. For this reason, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) is aiming to promote the use of pedestrian mobility support services consisting of positioning technology and information data. In this study, we aim to enrich the pedestrian network data included in the information data, which is a component of the pedestrian mobility support service. Past research has shown that it is possible to detect road surface barriers using 3D point cloud data by forming a grid of 3D point cloud data and comparing adjacent grids. However, the accuracy of road surface barrier detection may vary depending on the direction of the sidewalk because the grid is formed based on the north. In this study, we will examine how coordinate transformation affects the accuracy of sidewalk curb and crossing slope detection when understanding the shape of the road surface for wheelchair route guidance.
