The purpose of this study is to apply a binder (IBPM) using fly ash, ground-granulated blast-furnace slag, calcium hydroxide as an alkali activator, etc. to various precast concrete (PCa) products manufactured by steam curing. The effect of fluctuations in fly ash quality on compressive strength, the relationship between water-binder ratio and compressive strength were clarified, and shrinkage, chloride ion diffusion coefficient, sulfuric acid resistance, abrasion resistance and freeze-thaw resistance were experimentally investigated. By manufacturing full-scale specimens of box culvert, segment, Hume pipes and manhole, it was shown that normal compactions by vibration or centrifugal force can be applied and that the PCa products have sufficient load bearing capacity.
