E-scooter is a micro-mobility device that has been rapidly gaining popularity around the world in recent years. In Japan, roads are shifting from being vehicle-centered to people-centered, and a new road environment is required. The International Roughness Index is often used as a management index for roadways, but it is known that the road surface wavelength that affects electric E-scooter is affected by textures that are shorter than the roughness wavelength. Therefore, a new evaluation index is needed to evaluate the riding comfort of E-scooter. In this study, we conducted driving experiments to develop a vibration model of an E-scooter and to construct a new evaluation index, and measured the vibration response of the vehicle and evaluated the ride comfort by subjective evaluation. The results showed that there is a high correlation between the evaluation index based on vibration response and subjective evaluation, and that this index is useful as a new index for micromobility.
