An increasing number of rural areas are considering the introduction of mutual assistance transportation. However, existing taxi operators are concerned about a decline in profits due to competition for passengers, so there are cases where they are not gaining acceptance for its introduction. On the other hand, some of the transportation provided by taxi companies is inefficient due to long transfer times, so if a system could be established in which taxi companies assign such transportation to mutual assistance transportation, competition for passengers would not occur. This will also lead to improved management for taxi operators. In this study, we refer to this system as an integrated operational management system for the taxi business and mutual assistance transportation, and construct a mathematical planning model that reproduces the vehicle operation of the taxi business and mutual assistance transportation under this system. Then, we will apply this model to an actual region and quantitatively clarify the impact that factors such as the location of business offices have on the profits of taxi operators.
