Abstract

It has been reported that in case the cathodic protection is applied to steel in concrete under the moist environment, the steel does not satisfy the amount of depolarization. As a solution of this problem, a corrosion control method utilizing the corrosion rate of steel has been proposed. In this study, we clarified the three factors that the corrosion rate under the moist environments was evaluated larger than the actual rate. From these results, the RAP method (Reciprocating Anode Polarization Curve Measurement method) was proposed as an evaluation method of corrosion rate, and confirmed to be effective as a corrosion rate evaluation method.
