Abstract
On the Jinkoji coast facing the Kashimanada Sea, beach nourishment using coarse materials has been carried out between the artificial headlands, and wide beach was recovered. However, ground subsidence occurred by approximately 20 cm during the 2011 Great Earthquake and beach was eroded by the tsunami, resulting in narrowness of the beach width in the central part of the beach. In this study, the construction of two groins as an auxiliary facility to prevent nourishment sand from discharging and beach nourishment using coarse materials were planned. The effect of the nourishment was investigated using the BG model.
