Abstract

To clarify a submerged breakwater construction method in consideration of pollution reduction using improved dredged soil by the steelmaking slag, embankment experiments were conducted at a large experimental facility. This experimental facility is implemented at a facility where irrigation and drainage are possible. In this study, after constructing the submerged breakwater by underwater construction, it was possible to carry out the measurement of the shape of the levee which is drained and dried out and the strength test. As a result of the test, the strength of the levee constructed of modified soil with slump value <1cm was half the strength of slump value 1-7cm. On the other hand, the slope was steep at slump values <1cm.
