In recent years, numerical models have been increasingly applied to research and practice in the field of coastal engineering. DualSPHysics, an open-source fluid simulation code based on SPH, is expected to be applied to the design of coastal structures because of its capability of GPU calculation. This study verifies the applicability of DualSPHysics to the evaluation of tsunami wave pressure acting on land structures. The computational accuracy and cost were compared with the results by OpenFOAM. When using the boundary condition mDBC in DualSPHysics even at low resolution, the results corresponded well with the experimental results. OpenFOAM has higher computational cost but can evaluate tsunami pressure accurately except for impulsive pressure. Considering the computational cost, DualSPHysics with mDBC is more applicable model to the evaluation of tsunami pressure on land structures.
