Abstract

In this study, we devised materials and shapes of concrete blocks to address multiple factors of rocky-shore denudation and conducted verification experiments in actual sea areas. In addition, the 2 absorption amount of seaweeds growing on the test blocks were estimated. As a result, it was confirmed that seaweeds such as kelp thrived better in the square test blocks contained with amino acids than in the conventional blocks and that seaweeds continued to thrive and diverse aquatic organisms appeared in the plate test blocks impregnated with amino acids. The 2 absorption amount of the square test blocks was 7.995 t-2/ha/year, 1.125 t-2/ha/year has estimated for the board-type test block. Future work will require additional correction of data through ongoing research and verification of the effects of technologies with different characteristics, either alone or in combination.
