Abstract
The authors tried to make a thin section of asphalt concrete by applying dry method to observe the interface of asphalt and aggregate by polarized microscopy. As a result, this method enables to make thin section that does not have damages such as defects of aggregate and asphalt. When the thin section of stripped asphalt concrete are observed by polarizing microscope, stripping, crack of aggregate and mix statement of asphalt mortar in asphalt concrete can be found in order of micro meter.
