In Japan, the use of recycled asphalt aggregates in asphalt mixtures has been in earnest since the 1980s, and the use of recycled asphalt aggregates in modified asphalt mixtures has also been studied and applied. However, the fact is that the long-term performance of recycled and modified asphalt mixtures in cold, snowy regions has not been verified. In this study, we conducted a follow-up survey on the crack rate, etc. from the time of pavement to 20 years after the pavement was installed on the test construction of the recycled modified asphalt mixture on the national highway in 2001. In addition, cores were collected and the direction of crack generation was investigated. As a result, it was clarified that the higher the recycled mixture ratio, the more likely it is to cause wear in winter and cracks from the road surface.
