Abstract
Attenuation properties of subway-induced ground vibration propagated from cut-and-cover tunnels are investigated based on two-dimensional FE analysis. The numerical calculation was verified by comparing the calculation results with the field measurement data obtained at a subway cut-and-cover tunnel. This paper discusses the influence of ground characteristics, such as soil shear wave velocity, Poisson's ratio and damping constants, on the attenuation properties based on parametric studies with a view from the magnitude range of coefficients in a logarithmic regression expression and Bornitz formula. The effect of the thickness of tunnel member, the structure of tunnel corner and the properties of backfilling material above the tunnel on the ground attenuation is also numerically investigated.
