Abstract

In tunnel construction by the mountain tunneling method, occupational accidents may occur due to falling rocks that occurs near tunnel face. Therefore, various evaluation methods for the risk of falling rocks have been proposed in consideration of occurrence factors of falling rocks. However, at present, no evaluation method has been proposed focusing on unevenness of tunnel surface, which is one of occurrence factors of falling rocks.

In this study, in order to propose an analysis method that can evaluate the risk of falling rocks due to the unevenness of tunnel face, a 3D numerical analysis model considering unevenness of tunnel face was generated by applying the voxel method to photogrammetric results of a tunnel face. And basic tunnel excavation analysis was carried out. As a result, it was clear that the analysis method proposed in this study is useful for evaluating the risk of falling rocks due to unevenness of tunnel face.
