Tensile tests on a group of single Al-alloy sheet specimens and a group of adhesively bond Al-alloy laminate specimens were carried out. Two points are apparent from the comparison of the tested results ; (1) the breaking stress and Young's mudulus of the laminate specimen obey the simple law of composition, (2) the fracture toughness property of the laminated specimen is improved fairly well by the composition effect. The cause of the second effect is briefly discussed in this paper, as well as the whole test data.
