Thermal properties of ferroelectric polymers, such as poly (vinylidene fluoride), vinylidene fluoride and trifluoroethylene copolymers and amorphous vinylidene cyanide polymers were reviewed on the basis of the data from differential scanning calorimetry. The effect of cohesive force between polar molecular chains on ferroelectric transition was discussed from the results of DSC. Moreover, it was pointed out that all the polymers in paraelectric phase showed a liquid-crystal like structure.
