Seigakuin High School Library in Tokyo, which established an independent website ahead of other schools, has bee publishing historical materials since its establishment in 1906 (Meiji 39) as digital archives. The initial aim was to convey the spirit of establishment and the history of educational activities to current students, graduates, faculty, and everyone involved in the school as historical heritage. However, the content itself gradually started to resonate and grew into “the medium that connects the future and the past, and the people”. In this article, I review the process and discuss the potential of digital archive in the future.
