Abstract
For the judgment of seismic resistance of concrete dams, it is very important to evaluate the cracks in the dam body due to earthquake vibrations. To study on the numerical method to simulate cracking behaviors of concrete dams accurately, we have conducted the dynamic fracture experiment of a dam model with a large shaking table. This paper reports the characteristics of a low-strength concrete material for the dam model, and of cracking behaviors of un-reinforced concrete structures.
