Abstract
Developing a recycling method for construction byproducts on dam projects has become a very important issue because of the large quantities involved. This report focuses on the fine material collected from the settling basin of the aggregate plant and the attempt to recycle it as a part of fine aggregate. To successfully achieve this trial, several kinds of tests were done to confirm whether there would be any bad affects on the concrete. The results show that there were no bad affects and furthermore, an improvement in workability was also confirmed in some of the mix proportion. Through this trial, the quantity of excavation volume at the quarry site was reduced. Cost reduction was achieved in addition to advancing the recycling activity of construction byproducts in our project.
