Abstract
Lining plates made of high chromium cast iron are applied to the twin shaft mixer for RCD concrete manufacturing at the present time. These lining plates, however, are replaced in short time operation of 30, 000m3 to 40, 000m3 due to the concrete of dry consistency with excessive abrasions. Because of the above reasons, great pains and much efforts are required for maintenance of the lining plates.
In order to solve these problems, we have developed new lining plate, hard-faced compound material with tungsten fine particles.
The new-lining plates developed are installed on the mixers in the Kodama and Shimagawa dams, and are tested to verify a performance of service life. It is certified, through the performance tests, that the new-lining plate gives 5 times or more service life in comparison with conventional one and the mixer is possible to have a stable operation for a long time under no maintenance.
