Abstract
We continually practice science enlightenment activities throughout Hokkaido to develop human resources for regional innovation. Remote workshops linking distant places using ICT are considered to be effective in the vast Hokkaido. We held a trial remote workshop at Hokkaido University of Science in August 2016. And a remote workshop was held connecting Hokkaido University of Science and Sarufutsu village in January 2017. These two examples using “Unified Communications Systems” (UCS) show that the remote manufacturing workshop is effective in children′s experience. We also discuss issues for developing remote workshops in the future.
