Abstract
Niigata College of Technology initiated a vigorous intake of international students in its automobile maintenance technology department in 2019. Although the COVID-19 pandemic presented challenges, 2022 witnessed a significant surge in international enrollments across Japan. By 2024, the college anticipates student numbers to rebound to 2019 levels. Emphasizing diversity and inclusion, the college tailors its educational environment to accommodate the varied backgrounds of its international students. This holistic approach has contributed to impressive pass rates in national examinations.
