Exploring Skill Training Design by Analyzing Case Studies from the Worldskills Competition

Abstract

This study was conducted at the 46th Worldskills Competition 2022 Special Edition, which took place in Kyoto, Japan, under the theme “Training Environment and Plan in Competitor Training and Its Effect on Competitor Skill Acquisition and Performance”. Based on the results of a questionnaire given to competitors, we aimed to identify the relationship between the training format and the performance of competitors in three skills competitions. We then discuss the general requirements for a training approach and format that can enhance skill proficiency in a short period of time.
