Abstract
Diversification of undergraduate students needs immediate improvement of engineering education at the faculty of engineering. The smooth transition from education of high schools to undergraduate education as cooperation between high schools and universities plays an important role. An admission committee is in action on admission to our faculty in cooperation with admission advisers who are well up in the actual situation of high schools. Education experiences for students of senior and junior high schools are opened every year in order to be familiar with science, technology and our faculty. Preparations and improvements of systems of remedial education for mathematics and physics are made with questionnaire survey of students. Furthermore, follow up surveys are conducted on academic achievement of graduates who have been admitted on recommendation.
