In recent years, laparoscopic surgery has become the mainstream in surgery. This is especially true in the field of urological surgery, partly due to the widespread use of robotic surgery, which preceded that of other medical specialties. The first procedure in all laparoscopic operations is port placement. Incorrect port placement can significantly interfere with the entire subsequent surgical procedure, so careful consideration must be given to its setup. The port arrangement for RALC at our hospital is 7 ports, including 4 robotic ports, 2 ports for the first assistant, and 1 port for the second assistant, there are some points to note in this setup that we have modified based on our experience. In addition, since nephroureterectomy and cystectomy can now be performed entirely robotically for insurance purposes, we have made our own innovations in the placement of these ports. In this paper, we report on these matters.
