Abstract

A study of the location and method of installing energy storage systems and the number of solar panels installed to effectively utilize PV systems (PVS) is reported. The results show that connecting PV panels that exceed the rated output power of the PCS can improve power generation during low sunlight hours such as morning and evening. In addition, by installing the energy storage device on the DC side rather than the PCS, it is possible to charge the surplus power generated that exceeds the rated capacity of the PCS due to overloading.
