Abstract

Crystalized glass materials with dispersed metal nanoparticles are fabricated and evaluated as a novel solid-state phase change material (PCM) for thermal energy storage at 270°C level. A sintered body of the fabricated PCM shows high thermal conductivity and moderate latent heat, i.e., greater figure of merit (FOM) as compared to NaNO3 which is the conventional PCM with similar phase change temperature.
