Abstract

As the introduction of electric vehicles (EV) continues to advance, it is necessary to evaluate whether EVs can truly contribute to environmental sustainability. LCA is a method to evaluate the environmental impact from manufacturing to disposal. In this study, CO2 among the environmental impacts and evaluated EV and EV with photovoltaic system (PVEV) were focused on. As a result, it is clear that PVEV can contribute to environmental sustainability when driven and used over long distances, with the boundary point of PV effectiveness being around 5,000 km in terms of CO2 emissions compared to internal combustion engine vehicles.
