2. The relationship between Heat balance of the snow-covered photovoltaic modules and albedo from the snow

Abstract

We discuss the relation between the heat balance of the cell module and the snow slipping on the solar panel array installed in snowy Aomori city. The heat flow and temperature sensors installed on the backside of the panel are powerful tool for the estimation of the heat balance of the cell module. The inverse heat flow was observed just before the slipping of the snow. It strongly suggests the support from the albedo of the snow to slip the snow on the surface of the module.
