Abstract

Changes in lifestyles due to the spread of COVID-19 have also affected energy consumption in homes. Starting in April 2025, it will become mandatory in Tokyo region to install solar power generation and storage systems in newly built houses, and this initiative is expected to expand nationwide. This paper identifies trends in power consumption and changes in the power self-sufficiency rate and independence rate during the comparison period between 2019 and 2020, targeting wooden detached houses with solar power generation and storage systems.
