Photoelectrochemical hydrogen generation is a promising technology for converting sunlight into CO2-free chemical energy. As one of the problems, the adhesion of hydrogen bubbles on the electrode and the window material hinders the efficient energy conversion. Hence it is important to evaluate the bubble adhesion on surfaces configuring of photoelectrochemical reactor. In this research, we developed the measurement technique of bubble adhesion and demonstrated it for some materials and varied measurement conditions. In addition, we conducted hydrogen bubble control experiment to examine the effective handling of bubble flows.
