Abstract

It is known that tandem solar cells can achieve higher conversion efficiency than single solar cells due to the broadening of the light absorption wavelength. In this study, we investigated semitransparent organic photovoltaics that can be used as the top cell of tandem organic photovoltaics. The use of ITiO for both electrodes, which has better transmittance in the long-wavelength region than ITO, which is commonly used, has improved the transmittance of light absorbed by the bottom cell while maintaining the power conversion efficiency.
