Abstract

In recent years, energy conservation has been demanded in the electric energy field, and various power-consuming devices are required to increase their efficiency and reduce their power consumption. In this context, nudges have been attracting attention as a method to induce energy-saving behavior and promote power-saving behavior by providing information not only to devices but also to people who handle various power-consuming devices. This paper reports on an experimental study conducted at a university facility to induce energy-saving behavior using nudges.
