P6　The utilization of methane gas as a fuel in agriculture

Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of using methane gas refined from organic waste generated by farmers as a fuel to reduce CO2 emissions from farming. We calculated the amount of fuel that could be reduced by using methane gas as a fuel for farm machinery conventionally powered by gasoline or electricity and investigated the practicality of using methane gas for individual pieces of farm machinery.
