Organic quinone batteries have emerged as a metal-free alternative for electrode materials. However, their characteristics remain largely unknown. The goal of this study is to determine the dependence on electrode area. Batteries with uniform thickness and varying electrode surfaces were produced, discharged at different currents, and their maximum discharge powers were measured. It was discovered that doubling the electrode area did not result in an equal doubling of maximum power, indicating an absence of direct proportionality.
