The economic feasibility of very small-scale wood biomass boilers with a thermal output of 50 kW or less, which are installed in a small store and an office, was evaluated. The wood fuel system was found to be economical under default conditions. It was also found that in order to ensure its economic efficiency, it would be necessary to reduce construction costs, ensure stable procurement of higher-quality wood chips with lower price, and to receive public funds.
