Abstract
Reducion on Workload of the Farmer's Family Producing Tulip Bulbs (I) Analysis by CFSI Method
In this paper, the authors selected the farmer's families producing both tulip bulb and pady rice in Toyama prefecture, and analyzed the annual time budget based on a questionnaires for 30 males and 47 females by CFSI (Cumulative fatigue symptoms index) method. The obtained results were as follows.
1) In busy season, NF1 (Index of vitality), NF2-1 (Index of general feeling of fatigue) and NF4 (Index of labor volition) for males and NF2-1 for females exceeded the limits of 70 percentile which were thought as one of the most serious values on assessment of labor load. The same pattern was observed in off - season though the level of claim rate of ailment lowered.
2) When the farmer's group were classified into three sub-groups with cultivation area, such as below 0.5ha, 0.5-1ha and above 1ha. The four indices in the sub-group below 0.5ha and the three indices in the sub-group above 1ha exceeded the limits of 70 precentile.
3) In the persons remained a feeling of fatigue during long term, the claim rate of ailment in females were higher than that in males. In this case, the seven indices exceeded the limits of 70 precentile in off-season.
