Single port access laparoscopic surgery is a form of scarless surgery. However, manipulation of instruments is difficult with this approach. Reduced port laparoscopy, with new reduced-size instruments, has recently been introduced. This technique is likely to become more popular than single port laparoscopy because it can be performed with less difficulty. In this case report, we present a new concept for single port access laparoscopy, which was successfully employed in a case of extensive intra-abdominal adhesions.
