Abstract
In this article, the author grasped present condition of design education in technology courses at junior high schools and investigated possibility of design education using 3D-CAD in the future. The author compared textbooks of Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and UK and understood that“Isometric Projection”, “Orthographic projection”and“CAD”were learned in all countries (region) . Then, from the student work of“CAD work contest”which authors implemented, the possibility of design education using 3D-CAD was explored. Consequently, it was clarified that there were“four learning patterns”; “ (1) To make a geometric model from images ”, “ (2) To make a geometric model from existing two-dimensional drawings”, “ (3) To make a geometric model from the produced work by oneself”, and“ (4) To produce after making a geometric model”.
