High Pressure Studies of the Non-Copper Superconductors KCa₂Nb₃O₁₀ and RbCa₂Nb₃O₁₀

KCa₂Nb₃O₁₀ and RbCa₂Nb₃O₁₀ have triple layered perovskite structure similar to the High-Tc superconductors. Li intercalation into these samples induces superconductivity around 5 K and 4 K, respectively. The temperature dependence of resistivity was measured under high pressures with a n-butyllithium n-hexane solution as a fluid pressure transmitting medium. For KCa₂Nb₃O₁₀, T_cinitially increases, but above 0. 5 GPa, T_c monotonically decreases.
