Abstract
The notion of "confinor" is discussed. Confinor is a new framework for the treatment of patterns and characteristic features of strange attractors observed in multidimensional vector fields. Notions of "selecting curve", "spiral", "snale"are introduced. Together with the principle of "revolving door", a new approach is applied to a piecewise-linear three dimensional vector field.
