Abstract
For the problem of backward-facing step flow, we estimate the uncertainty of the computational result (the average pressure in the inlet boundary) due to the variation of the input condition (the velocity distribution in the inlet boundary) by deriving the first and the second order sensitivities. It was confirmed that the estimation result agrees well with the result of the computation using the input condition changed directly.
