Abstract
There have been proposed several image restoration schemes based on the mean curvature motion equation, however, their schemes are inconsistent with the equation. We have succeeded in devising a consistent acheme by suitably moving approximation points a little. We also propose a stopping criterion of restoration process. Numerical experiments indicate that our scheme achieves nice image restoration with the aid of the consistency and the criterion.
