Abstract
This study clarifies the availability of altmetrics for 1,080,840 articles published in Japanese society journals between 2006 and 2015 using two altmetrics services; Ceek.jp Altmetrics and Altmetric. Only about two to three percent of articles were mentioned in social media. Though discipline, language and published year of articles were related to the ratio of mentioned in social media, Ceek.jp Altmetrics and Altmetric had different tendency. However, articles in humanities and social sciences were more mentioned than others in both services. In addition, the same article had different score in different altmetrics services.
