A Study of Installing Telework in Japanese Companies

Abstract

　The purpose of this study is to discuss an adaptable way of installing telework in Japanese companies, focusing on the latent internal factors and the existing IT tools. Telework has become a realistic way of working thanks to technological progress, yet it has not been adopted widely. We conclude that step-by-step ways of installing are important in Japanese companies from the results of investigation conducted in two companies with different degrees of telework maturity.
