A Visualization Method for Music Retrieval Based on Similarity

Abstract

　The purpose of this study is to facilitate the discovery of songs through effective browsing search. We propose a method of presenting similar songs with the relationships among them. In order to achieve this, we used a portion of the music data provided by Spotify API to calculate similarity using Euclidean distance. When a user select a song as the starting point of the search, our method extracted the top similar songs, and visualized them using a graph layout dynamics model.
