Analysis of Narrative Structure for Automatic Generation System of ‘Tokimeki’ in Dating Simulation Games for Women

Abstract

　The mechanism that makes readers feel a ‘Tokimeki’ in a story has not been little studied to date. In this study, analysis of the structure and extraction of scenes related to ‘Tokimeki’ were conducted to identify characteristics related to ‘Tokimeki’ by using dating simulation games for women, which are presumed to emphasize the ‘Tokimeki’ mechanism in the story. The study revealed that there are three major patterns of ‘Tokimeki’ by comparing the narrative structure of each male character.
