Abstract
With the paradigm shift in university education from an instruction-centered approach to a learning centered one, emphasis came to be placed on the introduction of active learning and university students’ subjective learning. In 2010, the development of an e-portfolio system focused on performance began, and for approximately nine years, system improvements and educational practice have been carried out by using this system. However, today, there is a demand for further improvement of the quality of subjective learning in university education. To this end, on the basis of pedagogical findings regarding students’ subjective learning, this study outlines what has been learned from educational practice that uses the e-portfolio system. The study proposes a learning model utilizing this system, providing support for students’ introspective activities and for active learning that transcends the boundaries of courses and academic years, expanding beyond the scope of university education.
