Abstract
In nursing education it is important to learn the problem-solving process to provide appropriate nursing to patients. This kind of problem-solving in nursing is called the nursing process. In this research, we developed a tool to support the drafting of association charts (AKaTool: Associate Kango Tool) which are utilized for the purpose of clarifying problems from collected patient data in the nursing process. By using this tool, students are able to draft association charts more easily than when writing by hand or using tools developed in our previous work. The results of an evaluation experiment targeting nursing students confirmed the following 2 points. (1) The convenience of the AKaTool is high for the nursing students that are no good with computers. (2) Association charts can be edited in a shorter time than when writing by hand.
